PTA Plasma-Transfer-Arc
Powder Welding for engine valves
INTERWELD IPP Valve is a PTA (Plasma Transfer-Arc Welding) equipment for automatic hard-facing of engine valves. Normally as powder cobalt- or nickel-base alloys are used.
When welding smaller valves (normally up to 80 mm valve diameter) also the valve handling (feeding, positioning and unloading) is integrated.
When welding bigger valves (for example for ship-diesel engines) the positioning of the valves is manually (due to the longer welding time).
The welding process is fully automatic. The whole procedure is visualized and stored.
Because of the high quality of the equipment also small valves (for example for motorcycle engines) can be welded successfully.
